Abstract

Hibernoma is a rare benign adipose tissue tumor that develops from brown fatty tissue that has not
normally involuted. Hibernoma accounts for 1.6 of benign lipomatous tumors and 1.1 of all adipose
tissue tumors, 10 percent of which are intramuscular. We present the case of a rare localization of
an intratrapezial intramuscular hibernoma of the right anterior lateral cervical region in a 30-yearold
patient. MRI is a very important contribution to evoke the diagnosis of Hibernoma, especially in
STIR and Fat Saturation, treatment is based on complete excision of the tumor and histology
confirms the diagnosis.
