Abstract

Under the new economic norm, China's main consumption of refined petroleum products is still on
the rise, the rigid demand of light oil is growing rapidly, such as gasoline, kerosene. Coker gas oil
(CGO) can be used as the raw mixed material of Fluid Catalytic Cracking unit (FCC), CGO also
can be mixed in certain proportion and straight-run wax oil as raw materials for the hydrocracking
unit of oil. Then, light oil yield is increased. If CGO is bringed into the catalytic cracking unit
without being pretreated, it will affect the catalyst’s activity and reduce the production efficiency.
The FCC catalyst has active center of lewis acid and Bronsted acid. CGO contains basic nitrogen
with lone pair of electrons, which can not only easily adsorb on aluminum ions or silicon ions
which are unsaturated-coordinated in catalyst center (lewis acid centers), but also reduce the
number of acid center by act with the Bronsted acid. The result is to lower the activity of catalyst,
and reaction performance becoming poor [1-2]. Therefore, CGO is preprocessed to reduce its basic
nitrogen content before being the FCC raw material or hydrocracking raw material. At present, the
main denitrification technologies of CGO are hydrofining, acid extraction refining, solvent refining,
adsorption refining, complex denitrification refining, etc.
