Abstract
This paper analyzes the performance of a Switched Inductor Quasi Z-Source three-phase Inverter
(SL-QZSI) for photovoltaic (PV) applications. The classical Z-Source Inverter (ZSI) suffers from
switching stress and low boost factor. To overcome these drawbacks, a wide voltage gain SL-QZSI
is proposed for PV applications. In this paper, simulation of the SL-QZSI circuit is performed in
MATLAB/SIMULINK by implementing maximum boost control method. The performance
parameters such as voltage gain, voltage stress and current through the inductor in Z-network are
computed for various modulation indices and the results are verified.
